Cat Clyde wanders into The Marinade! Cat is a musician from Ontario, Canada, who is now based in Quebec. Her album Hunters Trance is one of our favorites of the year and we are so grateful for the opportunity to catch up with her. Cat sat down with us at Great Lakes Brewing in Toronto, where we were visiting on vacation. The stars aligned for this episode.

Sarah Shook swills The Marinade. Sarah is a singer, songwriter, and the band leader of Sarah Shook and the Disarmers. The Marinade with Jason Earle Episode 24 | 2018 in Review Part II | Luke Wagner talks Austin Lucas

Luke Wagner and I belly up at Barley and Vine Biergarten in Orlando, FL, to record the second of our 2018 in Review series. To end an outstanding year of music, we invited several artists whose work we respect to talk about some of 2018's highlights. Luke and I discuss "Immortal Americans" by Austin Lucas (Episode 21) then Luke plays one of his own tunes.

Check out Luke's music at lukewagnermusic.com. Cheers, y'all.

The Marinade with Jason Earle Episode 21 | Austin Lucas

Austin Lucas slips his toes into The Marinade and we quickly end up drowning in heavy questions about process and existence. The Marinade with Jason Earle Episode 20 | Sadler Vaden

Sadler Vaden teleports into The Marinade! Sadler is probably best known for his work playing guitar in Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, but he was also in Drivin' N Cryin' and has created some fantastic solo music. We discuss what he has learned from his famous bandmates, how he approaches the solo process, and just when the hell Oasis is going to finally reunite. Sadler is a massive guitar player, an impressive songwriter, and a supremely nice individual. Cheers, y'all.

The Marinade with Jason Earle Episode 16 | BJ Barham Returns

BJ Barham makes a return splash into The Marinade. BJ and his band American Aquarium recently released a masterpiece of a record called Things Change. Since we last spoke on episode one of this show, BJ has welcomed a baby girl to the family, hired an all-new band, and toured the lower 48 states in support of his brilliant solo record Rockingham. We talk about the split with his former bandmates, how fatherhood has changed him, and what went into making Things Change.

American Aquarium is currently on tour. Check out their tour dates at americanaquarium.com.

Huge thanks to Hannah Harber for sharing her experience opening for American Aquarium. Check out her music at hannahharber.com

The Marinade with Jason Earle Episode 7 | Cory Branan and Jon Snodgrass

Wolf and Cobra belly flop into The Marinade! This is our silliest episode to date and a dream come true. Cory Branan and Jon Snodgrass are two of our all-time favorite songwriters. Branan's new record Adioswas released in 2017 and is one of our favorite records of the year. Snodgrass is best known for his work with Drag the River but also has an excellent solo catalog as well as work with the bands Scorpios and Armchair Martian. We joke about Jon's indecipherable emails and proclivity for 'playing' drums, dive deep into political waters, and discuss the creative process for each of these brilliant writers.
