This is Episode 140 and our guest is River Shook. Known professionally by their birth name Sarah, River is the lead singer and songwriter for their bands Sarah Shook and the Disarmers and Mightmare. Y’all, if you have listened to this show for any amount of time you know how much I love River and their work. This is their second appearance on The Marinade. The first was way back in 2018 ahead of Sarah Shook and the Disarmers show in Orlando, FL. A LOT has happened for them (and for me) since that talk as you will hear in this episode. We caught up with River at the inaugural AVLFest in Asheville, North Carolina ahead of their incredible set at the legendary Orange Peel.
